We buy directly from small farms and roast on a 12 kg drum in the back of the café. Beans go on sale within five days of roasting.

Two friends and a roaster
Lucía Ferrer and Javier Campos grew up two streets apart in Valencia. After years working in coffee in Barcelona and Melbourne, they came home in 2018 and opened Marea in a former tile workshop.
The floor is still the original hydraulic tile. The coffee is something new for the neighbourhood: light, sweet and traceable to the farm.
